UNIVERSITY STUDENT INTERNSHIP IN
PURCHASING/SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT Quinnipiac
University students may
gain some valuable business experience and an understanding of the important and
interesting Purchasing and Supply Chain Management field, which accounts for an average of
55 percent of each company's sales dollar. Internships are available in various companies
around the State of Connecticut through the Connecticut Association of Purchasing
Management, Inc. Internship Program. Students who are accepted for internships will be
paid a competitive salary by the sponsoring company and earn six hours of course credit.
Length of Internship: Ten weeks, in
accordance with the company's needs
Requirements: Computer and information technology
and business skills are essential for the Internship Program. For the course credit,
interns will be required to prepare a paper at the completion of their work at the
sponsoring company.
Eligibility: Any student from the School of Business
Administration or School of Engineering or Computer Technology at
Quinnipiac University, with at least a sixth
semester status, may apply for an internship.
Selection of Interns: Sponsoring companies will
interview interested students in the Spring of 2006.
Participating Companies: Companies may make
application to participate in the Internship Program by contacting the sponsor of the
program, the Connecticut Association of Purchasing Management, Inc.
