We also sponsor an International Purchasing Certificate at Quinnipiac University, in Hamden, Connecticut. In conjunction with those courses, various companies offer students internships in their Purchasing departments. 

ISMtm offers various training classes.

CAPM's monthly  membership meetings include a one to two-hour pre-meeting workshop on various topics. One-day and half-day seminars are also offered on a variety of Supply Chain Management topics. In celebration of March Supply Management Month, CAPM has a full-day conference at Anthony's Oceanview in New Haven; next conference will be on March 31, 2010.  Our committee is currently planning this event.

A certification program, instituted in by ISMtm established standards by which the educational and experience levels of people in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management are measured.

The Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)  can be obtained by individuals who have a Bachelors degree, five years of supply management experience and pass the three tests.
