| C.P.M. CERTIFICATION
The Certified Purchasing Manager
(C.P.M.) is no longer available. If you have earned your
C.P.M., maintaining the designation requires
recertification every five years.
CPSM Certification
The expanding role of supply management requires a
continuous expansion of knowledge in a rapidly changing
environment. The
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) qualification
is designed to lead the profession by emphasizing the main
components of supply management.
Senior management teams now look for professionals with
expertise in multiple disciplines within the profession.
At the same time, advances in technology, methods and scope
of supply management have increased the need for higher level
education, training and certification.
The introduction of the CPSM ensures that supply
professionals have the necessary skills to be successful in
strategic supply management.
The
CPSM testing process consists of three exams which address the
main components of supply management.
The criteria for earning the CPSM qualification are:
· 5 years of full-time, professional supply management
experience
· 4 year degree from a regionally accredited college or
university
· Pass three exams or if you are a C.P.M. in good standing,
pass the Bridge Exam.
CPSM
will enable professionals to excel in 21st century strategic
supply management.
